Entrees run the gamut from trout amadine, elk and buffalo ribeye to tempeh with sauteed vegetables and Cajun-style Bourbon Street pasta, plus ever-changing daily specials. The Bay Leaf itself is a collection of lovely architectural features with the beveled, stained-glass window of the front door and ceramic tile floor. In 2006, the Bay Leaf expanded their offerings with Berry's Best Desserts, specializing in wedding cakes and fancy desserts.

This local favorite has set up shop in a building that once served the farming town of Spearfish as a dry-goods store. The owners of Roma's have taken full advantage of this castle-like building and turned it into one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. The menu includes traditional Italian dishes like lasagna and specialties such as steak Florentine, herb-encrusted rib eye and smoked pheasant ravioli.

The Rodriguez family, owners of Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant, has brought a little piece of Old Mexico to the small town of Spearfish. They offer traditional Mexican food and great service. Everything is made from scratch, from the chips and salsa all the way to the fried ice cream and sopapillas.

This steakhouse offers some of the finest steaks you'll find in the area. It offers a rustic atmosphere and relaxed ambiance. Try the large fillet which comes served up in a dish of boiling butter. Or stop by on Ugly Mug Night where you can bring your own mug and drink all night for next to nothing. The Chophouse also offers an all you can eat Sunday brunch with a bit of everything for one great price. Don't mind the crack-nut shells on the floor, those are there on purpose.
